would have extended the stay
Beautiful hotel in downtown. Rooms are large, comfortable, and super clean. Air conditioning, flat-screen TV, private bathroom, and a desk were great. Loved the decor! Fitness center was a plus. Staff was responsive, and I could text them easily. Breakfast isn't included, and the cafe gets busy in the morning. Hobknob restaurant had awesome coffee and cocktails.

Super clean rooms and super comfy beds! Loved the huge shower, too. The staff was really nice and went the extra mile, even cleaning rooms themselves when we arrived. Just a heads up, parking can be a bit confusing and valet is kinda pricey at $33. Had a great time overall!

I greatly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Fort Des Moines. the staff was really friendly and the location was central, which was a highlight for me. the double room was fashionable and recently renovated, including a large bathroom. the hotel's Proudfoot & Bird restaurant was lovely and modern. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to the Iowa State Fair, the river, and various restaurants downtown was convenient.
